Panthers alumni Angus Redmond named to All-WCHA Rookie Team

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association named its 2016-17 all-conference teams and former Port Moody Panthers goaltender Angus Redmond is part of the All-WCHA Rookie Team.
Redmond played 19 games with the Panthers in 2012-13, posting a 4-12-0-0 record, a 4.20 goals against average, and a .907 save percentage.
The Langley native has played in 33 games, starting the last 32 straight for the Michigan Tech University Huskies. He ranks third in the country and second in the WCHA with a 1.85 goals against average. His .915 save percentage is fourth in the league and 23rd in the nation.
He has stopped 25 shots five times this season and holds a record of 19-8-5. Redmond was named the WCHA Rookie of the Month in November, WCHA Defensive Player of the Week on November 28 and WCHA Rookie of the Week three times.
