PoCo Buckeroos alumnus Carlo Finucci (2004-05) put pen to paper on Aug. 27, signing for his eighth season of pro hockey in Europe.
Finucci, 34, inked a contract for 2021-22 with Italian club Cortina of the Alps Hockey League. He spent 2020-21 with ASC Corona Brasov in Romania and posted 23 goals and 56 points.
He played with the Fife Flyers of the UK’s Elite Ice Hockey League from 2016-20, finishing with 80 goals and 192 points in 213 games. The Burnaby, BC product is also a veteran of 100 career ECHL games with Las Vegas and Evansville, posting 43 points.
Finucci has also spent time in Denmark and with Swindon of the English Premier Ice Hockey League during his decade-long pro career.
During his time in Port Coquitlam with the Buckeroos in 2004-05, Finucci finished with 12 goals and 27 points in 43 games. After that year, he signed with Burnaby of the BC Hockey League and played 169 career games for the Express before embarking on a four year NCAA tenure at the
