The Port Moody Panthers have three players that are invited to participate in the 2022 British Columbia Hockey Conference Prospects Game in Chilliwack on Tuesday, November 22.
Forwards Dylan Emerson and Ryden Mathieson, and defender Bruce Grey will participate in the event later this month.
Emerson has two goals and 11 assists in 12 games this season. The 17-year-old from Port Moody is in his first season in the Pacific Junior Hockey League and with the Panthers. He is currently an affiliate player for the Cowichan Valley Capitals of the BC Hockey League.
Mathieson is in his second full season in the PJHL and first with Port Moody. So far this season, the 18-year-old Langley product is second in scoring on the Panthers with eight goals and seven assists in 17 games. He is currently on the 50-player protected list of the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League.
Grey has two goals and 12 assists in 19 games in his second season with the Panthers. The West Vancouver native currently leads all Port Moody defenders and rookies in scoring. The 17-year-old is 12th among all PJHL rookies in scoring and second among all blueliners.
This year is the inaugural edition of the BCHC Prospects Game, and rosters are composed primarily of 2005- and 2006-born players, with a maximum of six 2004-born players eligible to be selected by each team.
