The Port Moody Panthers Junior Hockey Club seeks an Associate Athletic Trainer for the upcoming season. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain experience while attending school in athletic therapy or kinesiology.
Primary Responsibilities
- Attend no less than two Panthers practices per week during the 2024-25 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
- Communicating with and updating the Head Athletic Trainer and hockey operations staff regarding player injuries, conditions, and recovery.
- Help maintain records regarding players’ injuries and treatment plans.
- Help administer HEADCHECK Health concussion platform for all players.
- Fill in for games the Head Athletic Trainer is unable to attend.
Position Requirements
- Valid criminal record check
- First Aid certification
- Respect in Sport
- Concussion Awareness Training Tool
- HU – ONLINE safety
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with a competitive-level sports team
- Understanding of the sports team environment
Salary: $25 per practice, to a maximum of two per week. Any games attended to fill in for the Head Athletic Trainer are paid separately on a per-game basis.
