Meet the new Panthers: Connor Hughes

This article is the first in a series introducing new players for the Panthers who were signed out of training camp.

Up first is 2004-born forward Connor Hughes, who has two goals and an assist in his first six games in the 2021-22 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.

Hughes joins the Panthers from the Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association U18 Tier 1 A1 Chiefs. Although signed with the Chiefs in 2020-21, the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to Hughes getting into any regular season games.

In 2019-20, the Coquitlam product had 11 goals and 24 points in 30 games with the Vancouver NE Chiefs U16 AAA in the BC Elite U17 Hockey League.

Hughes and the rest of the Panthers are back on the ice this Saturday at home against the Grandview Steelers. It’s a 7:45 pm puck drop at the Port Moody Arena.
