The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the club has acquired future considerations from the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in exchange for defender Matthew Kim.
Kim, a 2006-born blueliner, recorded four goals and 25 assists for 29 points in 46 PJHL regular season games with Port Moody. He led all Panthers defenders in scoring during the 2023-24 season and his 29 points were fourth overall on the team. He debuted with the Panthers as an affiliate player in 2022-23, getting into three games.
The Coquitlam, B.C. product leaves the Panthers 18th in defender scoring in franchise history with 29 points and 14th among all defenders in assists with 25.
The Panthers would like to thank Matthew Kim for all he has done for the Panthers during his two seasons in Port Moody.
