Panthers acquire Samuels from the Outlaws

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the club has reacquired forward Aidan Samuels from the Mission City Outlaws in exchange for future considerations.

Samuels, a 2005-born forward, played 46 games split between Mission City and the Surrey Knights during the 2023-24 season, registering 21 goals and 13 assists for 34 points. Despite being traded from Surrey at the January 10 deadline, he still finished fourth in scoring on the Knights. His 34 total points placed him tied for second in scoring on the Outlaws.

With 10 power play goals, Samuels was tied for third overall in the Pacific Junior Hockey League last season. He added two assists in six playoff games as the Outlaws won their “Survivor Series” best-of-three against Surrey before being swept by the eventual Ray Stonehouse Cup champion Ridge Meadows Flames.

The product of Maple Ridge put up 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points in 31 games for the Panthers during the 2022-23 season. His 12 goals tied him for third-most on the team that year. He is a product of the Vancouver North East Chiefs U16 AAA in the BC Elite Hockey League, playing with them during the COVID-19-affected season of 2020-21.
