The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the club has reacquired defender Bradley Thompson from the Sioux Lookout Bombers of the Superior International Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.
Thompson, a 2005-born blueliner, played 39 games for the Bombers during the 2023-24 season, registering one goal and six assists for seven points. He was part of a Sioux Lookout defence corps that allowed a league-low 113 goals against in 49 games and posted the second-best penalty kill in the SIJHL.
He got into the Bombers’ final two playoff games as they swept Kam River to win the 2024 Bill Salonen Cup as SIJHL champions. Thompson was also part of the Sioux Lookout team that attended the 2024 Centennial Cup National Junior A Championship tournament.
The product of Maple Ridge put up one goal and eight assists for nine points in 45 games for the Panthers during the 2022-23 season. Thompson played in the PJHL as a 16-year-old in 2021-22, getting into 31 games with the Chilliwack Jets before being picked up by Port Moody. He is a product of the Vancouver North East Chiefs U16 AAA in the BC Elite Hockey League, playing with them during the COVID-19-affected season of 2020-21.
