Panthers alumnus Callum Tung attends New York Rangers summer development camp

The Port Moody Panthers would like to congratulate alumnus Callum Tung on attending the 2025 New York Rangers summer development camp. The camp ran from July 1 – 2 in Greenburgh, New York.

Tung, 21, was 10-4-1 with a 2.01 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage in 15 NCAA Division I games with the University of Connecticut Huskies in Hockey East in 2024-25. His efforts led the Huskies to their first appearance at the NCAA Tournament. Tung’s save percentage was second among Hockey East goaltenders, and his goals-against average was third.

In April, he signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Rangers starting in the 2025-26 NHL season. That same day, Tung signed an amateur tryout with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. He posted a 1-1-0 record with a 2.28 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage in a pair of games for the Wolf Pack.

He played with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BC Hockey League in 2023-24, finishing that year with a 22-14-0 record, a 2.80 goals-against average, a .917 save percentage, and three shutouts.

Tung appeared in eight games for the Panthers to end the 2022-23 season, leading all Port Moody goalies that year with a 3.11 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. Tung had a record of 3-2-0.
