Panthers captain Daniel Dallapace among the PJHL’s three stars of the week

Port Moody Panthers defender Daniel Dallapace has been named one of the Pacific Junior Hockey League’s players of the week for the week ending Oct. 2.

Dallapace recorded five points on the strength of three goals and two assists, as the Panthers won three games last week. The Panthers’ captain was a steadying influence on Sept. 29 as Port Moody battled back from a 3-0 first period deficit to take down Surrey 4-3 in overtime.

He tallied a season-high two goals and two assists in a 6-4 victory over the Grandview Steelers on Oct. 1 and added another goal in a 7-4 victory over the Knights on Oct. 2.

Dallapace is fourth on the Panthers in scoring and he also leads all PJHL defencemen in goals with four. His six points have him tied for second in the league in scoring among blueliners.

The Panthers improved to second in the Tom Shaw Conference with 10 points (5-3-0).
