Panthers defender Bradley Thompson signs with the SIJHL’s Kam River Fighting Walleye

The Port Moody Panthers are proud to announce that defender Bradley Thompson has signed with the Superior International Junior Hockey League’s Kam River Fighting Walleye to play junior A hockey for the 2023-24 season.

Thompson is a 2005-born blueliner from Maple Ridge, B.C. who finished 2022-23 with one goal and eight assists for nine points in 45 games. His point total was third among all defenders on the Panthers roster this past season.

Acquired from Chilliwack in August 2022, Thompson has two goals and 13 assists in 76 career games split between the Panthers and Jets over the course of the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.

The 6-foot-1, 185 lbs. defender is the sixth player from last season’s Panthers team to advance to a higher level, joining forwards Jobey Pearson (OJHL), Dylan Emerson (BCHL), and Ryden Mathieson (BCHL), and defenders Bruce Grey (NOJHL) and Johnny Lopez (OJHL). Thompson is the 11th player in the last three years to sign with a Major Junior or junior A team from the Panthers.
