Panthers name Dallapace captain and Chen an alternate captain

The Port Moody Panthers have named defenseman Daniel Dallapace as their new captain.

The 2002-born blueliner replaces Jayson Beauregard, who was traded earlier this week. Dallapace has been an alternate captain since the start of the 2019-20 season.

This season, the Burnaby product has three goals and six points in 15 games. During his PJHL career with the Panthers, he’s posted three goals and 21 points along with 34 penalty minutes in 73 games.

The Panthers have also appointed forward Stephen Chen as an alternate captain. He takes over from defenseman Nicholas Yu, who was traded on Nov. 1.

Chen, a 2001-born native of Richmond, is a veteran of 55 PJHL games with his hometown Sockeyes, Delta, and the Panthers. He’s compiled seven goals and 13 points along the way.

He has two goals and four points in 18 games this season.
