Panthers name Dean Herman new colour commentator for the 2025-26 season

The Port Moody Panthers are excited to announce the addition of Dean Herman as the team’s colour commentator for the 2025-26 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.

Herman brings a diverse background in broadcasting, production, and live event support to the Panthers’ broadcast team. He has worked as an AV technician with AV Partners in Queensland, Australia, and as a radio personality with JET FM in Courtenay, BC, where he developed his on-air presence and storytelling skills.

He has also gained experience as a PSA editor with the community radio station CVOX in Courtenay. Herman was a student in the Motion Picture Lighting credential program at North Island College and has taken both the Introduction to Broadcasting and Sports Broadcasting courses at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Currently a first-year student in BCIT’s Radio Arts and Entertainment Program, with an expected graduation in 2027, Herman is eager to continue honing his craft and bring his passion for sports and broadcasting to Panthers fans.

Herman made his Panthers debut alongside play-by-play voice Dawson McFarlane on October 26 in the team’s 4-2 win over the Mission City Outlaws.
