Panthers sign 2006-born forward Lucas Kalman

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the club has signed 2006-born forward Lucas Kalman.

From Coquitlam, B.C., Kalman appeared in 13 games with the Langley Trappers this season, tallying three points (2-1-3) and 54 penalty minutes.

The 6’0”, 173 lbs. forward was a rookie with the Trappers in 2023-24, posting one goal in 29 games to go along with 77 penalty minutes. He also got into four Stonehouse Cup playoff games for Langley last season.

Kalman is a product of the Pacific Canadians program, where he had six points (4-2-6) in eight games during the 2022-23 season. He spent the 2021-22 season with the Canadians U17 team and finished with 14 points (5-9-14) in 15 games.

Wearing number 23, Kalman made his Panthers debut in Saturday’s 3-2 overtime loss against Chilliwack. He scored his first two goals in a Port Moody jersey in Sunday’s 6-5 overtime loss to Port Coquitlam.
