The Port Moody Panthers are proud to announce the signing of 2007-born forward Devon Lee for the 2025-26 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
A Burnaby native, Lee spent the past two seasons with the Burnaby Minor Hockey Association U18 A1 Tier 2 team and spent a decade playing minor hockey with his hometown association. He made an early impression with the Panthers this preseason, scoring in a 5-3 exhibition win over Surrey on August 29.
“I am excited to be a part of the Port Moody Panthers, as it’s a great opportunity to continue developing my game at the junior level while being part of a strong team culture,” said Lee. “The Panthers have a great group of coaching staff with a ton of experience, and I am excited to learn from them to improve my game and contribute to the team’s success.”
Lee has set clear goals for his first junior campaign. “My goals would be to keep developing my game with and without the puck and perform at the highest level I can play at consistently. I want to become a reliable player who can play in various situations in the game. I also want to become stronger as the season goes on to be more effective in battles along the boards and in front of the net.”
He calls himself as a gritty, two-way forward who plays with intensity. “I would describe myself as a hardworking, 200-foot forward who doesn’t shy away from the physical side of the game. I like to be tough to play against and play with a lot of intensity and grit. I can make smart decisions, create time and space for my teammates, and transition quickly from zone to zone. Overall, I bring energy, compete, and a team-first mindset every time I step on the ice.”
Leewill wear number 25 with the Panthers and is expected to make his debut this weekend against either the White Rock Whalers on Saturday or the Aldergrove Ironmen on Sunday.
