Panthers sign forward Kijin Cho for the 2025-26 PJHL season

The Port Moody Panthers are proud to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Kijin Cho for the 2025-26 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.

Originally from Seoul, Korea, Cho spent the 2024-25 season with the Burnaby Winter Club U17 AAA team, where he recorded 14 goals and 14 assists in 35 games, second in team scoring. He added another two goals and two assists in five CSSHL playoff games. Among 2008-born players in the CSSHL U17 AAA division, Cho ranked 12th in total points.

“I’m excited to play in Port Moody with the Panthers because it’s a great opportunity to challenge myself at a higher level of competition and to grow as a player,” said Cho. “It’s also my first time playing junior hockey, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how I can perform.”

Cho is focused on making an immediate impact in his rookie junior season. “My main goal is to keep improving myself every day and to help the team win as much as possible.”

He brings versatility and speed to the Panthers’ lineup. “I would describe my game as an all-around style of play. I try to contribute in every situation—offensively and defensively. I also use my speed to create plays and generate scoring opportunities for the team.”

Cho becomes the fifth recruit to the Panthers’ roster for the 2025-26 season.
