The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the team has signed forward Logan Cyr for the 2026-27 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
Cyr spent last season as a forward for the Valley West Giants U17 AAA in the BCEHL. In 36 games, he posted three goals and two assists for five points, along with 14 penalty minutes. Last year was his first full season at the U17 level, and he also appeared in five playoff games, registering two assists.
Cyr additionally joined the Panthers for eight Fraser Valley Super League games this past spring, compiling three assists.
“I’m excited to play in Port Moody because it’s a great organization with a competitive environment, and I’m looking forward to being part of a strong team and helping contribute to a successful season,” said Cyr.
The forward has appeared in 66 career regular-season games over two BCEHL U15 and U17 seasons with the Valley West Giants program, compiling 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points, and 40 penalty minutes.
“My goals this season are to keep developing as a player, be a leader on and off the ice, produce offensively, and do everything I can to help the team win games and compete for a championship,” noted Cyr.
Before his time in the BCEHL, Cyr developed within the Semiahmoo Minor Hockey Association. He played the 2023-24 season with the Semiahmoo U15 A1 Tier 1 team after spending the 2022-23 season with the Semiahmoo U13 A1 Tier 1 team.
“I’d describe my game as fast, skilled, and playmaking. I’m a center who likes to move the puck well, see the ice, and create opportunities for my teammates. I take pride in my hockey IQ, making smart plays, and being reliable in all three zones,” explained Cyr.
Cyr is the first player to commit to the Panthers for the 2026-27 season.
