The Port Moody Panthers today announced the signing of 2005-born forward Marcus Lindholm for the 2023-24 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
Lindholm spent this past season with the Port Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association U18 A1 program in the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association.
“I’ve heard nothing but great things about the (Panthers) organization and the great connections they have,” said Lindholm. “Port Moody has given me the opportunity to come and show that I belong in this league.”
He also played for Terry Fox Secondary School in the B.C. High School Hockey League this spring and put up two goals and an assist in four games for the Ravens. Lindholm, who was with the Poco Pirates U18 A1 team in 2020-21 and 2021-22, looks forward to taking the next steps in developing his game.
“Playing for the Panthers will be fantastic for my learning and development as I look to fill the role of a dependable player that will excel in this league,” he explained.
Linholdm describes himself as the type of forward who can fit up and down the lineup. “I can play in a more defensive role, battle in corners, and produce offense in a highly skilled fashion,” he said. “I’m an unselfish player who looks to make the right plays. I also have a quick, accurate shot and excel at skating.”
Lindholm joins forward Wesley Suszezwiez, defender Matthew Kim, and goaltender Ty Angus as four incoming players to sign with the Panthers for the 2023-24 PJHL season.
