The Port Moody Panthers today announced the signing of 2006-born forward Brady Carriere for the 2024-25 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
Carriere, who’s from Belcarra, spent this past season with the Port Moody Amateur Hockey Association Under-18 A1 team in the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association’s Fraser Valley North League. He was also listed as an affiliate player for the Panthers in 2023-24.
When it comes to joining the Panthers, Carriere is looking forward to suiting up for his hometown junior hockey team. “I’m excited to play with the Panthers because it offers me the chance to develop my skills at a higher level.”
“I look forward to working with experienced coaches and talented teammates, which will help me grow as a player. I’m also happy to have the chance to play in Port Moody another year with a team I have looked up to since I was a kid,” said Carriere.
“In my first year of junior hockey, I have set several goals for myself. First, I want to improve my cardio to ensure I can perform at my best. Secondly, I am focused on developing my skills to become the best player I can be and contribute to the team’s success,” added Carriere, who describes himself as an impactful forward.
“I would describe my game as that of a physical player with a laser shot,” he said. Carriere has played with the Port Moody AHA U18 Panthers for the past three seasons and spent his entire minor hockey career in Port Moody.
Carriere joins defender Adam Lian and forwards Brady Beliveau and Dane Svingen-Jones as four incoming players to sign with the Panthers for the 2024-25 PJHL season.
