Vancouver NE Chiefs defenseman Hudson Longden signs with the Panthers

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that they have signed 2005-born defenseman Hudson Longden for the 2021-22 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.

Longden, 16, recorded two assists in five games with Vancouver North East Chiefs U16 AAA this past season.

The 6’4″, 181-pound defenseman from Maple Ridge, BC played for the NE Chiefs U15 AAA team in 2019-20 and finished with three goals and 18 points in 30 games.

Prior to joining the Chiefs, Longden spent three seasons in the Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey Association and an additional three seasons before that with teams from the North Shore Winter Club.

Longden will wear number 19 with the Panthers and is expected to make his debut on Thursday in Richmond against the Sockeyes.
