Panthers acquire Bradley Thompson from Chilliwack for future considerations

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the club has acquired 2005-born defender Bradley Thompson from the Chilliwack Jets in exchange for future considerations.

Thompson recorded a goal and five assists in 31 games with the Jets last season. He also played three Pacific Junior Hockey League playoff games for Chilliwack earlier this year.

The 6’2″, 185-pound blueliner was with the Vancouver North East Chiefs U16 AAA team in 2020-21 but didn’t play any regular season games because they were cancelled due to the pandemic. He did have two assists in five exhibition games though.

On the U16 Chiefs team during that 2020-21 season, Thompson was a teammate of current Panthers defender Hudson Longden along with incoming players Aidan Samuels and Ryan Sam.

A native of Maple Ridge, BC, Thompson also finished with a goal in 30 games for the NE Chiefs U15 AAA squad in 2019-20.
