The Port Moody Panthers are excited to announce the signing of 2005-born forward Aidan Samuels, 2004-born forward Jeffrey Pacholko, and 2005-born defender Ryan Sam for the 2022-23 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
All three players were affiliates for the Panthers during the 2021-22 season.
Samuels, who’s from Maple Ridge, finished last season with two goals and four assists in 10 games with Port Moody, which is the maximum number of games an affiliate is allowed to play. He started the season with two assists in nine games with the Abbotsford Pilots before joining his hometown Ridge Meadows Rustlers U18 team in November.
Pacholko, a native of Burnaby, spent the 2021-22 season with his hometown Burnaby Minor Hockey Association U18 squad. He also joined the Panthers as an affiliate in January and played four games that month. Pacholko made his PJHL debut in a game against Richmond on Jan. 20.
Sam hails from Port Coquitlam and was a full-time player for the Poco Minor Hockey Association Pirates U18 team in 2021-22. As an affiliate with the Panthers, he got into three games before the calendar flipped to 2022. Sam dressed for his first PJHL game with the Panthers in a 6-0 win over Surrey on Nov. 24.
Samuels, Pacholko, and Sam join Bruce Grey, Dylan Emerson, Ty Balchen, Matthew Ng, and Nick Dunn as recruited players signed by the Panthers for the 2022-23 PJHL season.
