Port Moody Panthers graduate Callum Tung is among the 21 players named to the initial rosters for the 2024 British Columbia Hockey League All-Star Tournament on Jan. 20, 2024, in Penticton.
Tung plays for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and was voted into the tournament by the coaches and general managers from the BCHL’s 17 teams.
In 16 games with the Bulldogs this season, Tung is 10-6-0 with one shutout, a 2.53 goals-against average, and a .921 save percentage. Last month, he committed to playing NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Connecticut starting next September.
The product of Port Moody made nine appearances with the Panthers in 2022-23, finishing with a 3-2-1 record to go along with a 3.22 goals-against average, and a .923 save percentage.
Once the Panthers season was done, Tung joined the Bulldogs as an affiliate player and ended up playing one game in the BCHL’s Fred Page Cup final series against the Penticton Vees.
