Panthers sign goaltender Adam Goody

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the club has signed goaltender Adam Goody as a free agent.

Goody, a 2002-born netminder, appeared in seven games for the Comox Valley Glacier Kings of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League this season, posting a 2-4-0 record to go along with a 4.79 goals-against average and an .840 save percentage.

The product of Airdie, AB was with the Columbia Valley Rockies of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League in 2020-21 but didn’t play any regular season games due to the season being shut down because of COVID-19 restrictions.

He did appear in three pre-season games for the Rockies in the fall of 2020, finishing with a 2-1-0 record and a .910 save percentage.

In 2019-20, Goody played with the Okotoks U18 AAA Oilers in the Alberta Elite Hockey League. He finished that season at 10-5-2 with a 2.84 goals-against average and an .893 save percentage. At the Mac’s AAA U18 Hockey Tournament in 2019, Goody played two games and had a 1.00 goals-against average and a .950 save percentage.

Goody is expected to make his Panthers debut on Friday in Abbotsford against the Pilots. Puck drop is 7:30 pm at the MSA Arena. Fans can watch from anywhere onĀ HockeyTV.
