Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey U18 forward Tristan Lindsay signs with the Panthers

The Port Moody Panthers today announced the signing of 2005-born forward Tristan Lindsay for the 2023-24 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.

Lindsay spent the 2022-23 season with the Ridge Meadows Rustlers Under-18 C6 team in the Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey Association. He also spent time with the Ridge Meadows U18 A2 team and A3 team. He also played for Terry Fox Secondary School in the B.C. High School Hockey League this spring and finished with a goal and three assists in four games. Lindsay was a teammate of fellow first-year Panthers forwards Wesley Suzezwiez and Marcus Lindholm as well as returning defender Ryan Sam on the Ravens.

“Along with the great staff, city, and fans, the Panthers have an excellent track record with helping players develop and achieve their goals. I’m very excited to get started,” said Lindsay, who’s from Maple Ridge.

He also played for the Ridge Meadows Rustlers U18 A2 team in 2021-22 while being an affiliate player for the A1 team. Lindsay is looking forward to doing whatever he can to help the Panthers be successful this season.

“My goals for my first year with the Panthers are to push myself to become the best possible player I can be and contribute positively to the team,” explained Lindsay. “I want to use the high skill and intensity of the team and league to my advantage to develop my own play and become the best possible player I can.”

Lindsay is the type of player who leads by example and does his best to never take a shift off. “I pride myself on being a positive teammate and being the hardest worker on the ice. Being a good team player and setting up teammates for goals is something that I enjoy,” he added. “My presence in the offensive zone — especially in and around the net — is something that creates scoring chances for myself and others as well.”

Lindsay joins forwards Wesley Suszezwiez, Marcus Lindholm, Mark Wu, and Nicolas Lee, defenders Lucas Crescenzo, Matthew Kim and Ethan Chu, and goaltender Ty Angus as eight incoming players to sign with the Panthers for the 2023-24 PJHL season.
