The Port Moody Panthers are proud to announce the signing of 2007-born forward Cole Blanchet for the 2025-26 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
A hometown product, Blanchet has spent the past three seasons with the Port Moody Amateur Hockey Association U18 A1 Tier 2 team. He also gained experience as an affiliate player with the Panthers in 2024-25 and made his junior hockey debut on February 5, 2025, against the Grandview Steelers.
“I’ve grown up playing hockey in Port Moody, so representing my hometown at this level means a lot,” said Blanchet. “I’m passionate about wearing this logo and continuing to be a part of the community that I grew up in. The Panthers have a strong culture and great coaches who push players to improve every day, and I’m excited to be part of that.”
Blanchet has set clear goals for his first full season of junior hockey. “My focus this season is improving my skating across 200 feet of ice, with and without the puck. I also want to bring a consistent physical presence and continue to make smart plays to help the team succeed.”
He describes himself as a physical forward who thrives in the hard areas of the ice. “I’m a hard forechecking power forward who plays physical and battles in the corners. I like to create chances, and I always have a strong net-front presence ready for any opportunity that presents itself.”
Blanchet becomes the sixth recruit added to the Panthers’ roster for the 2025-26 season.
