The Port Moody Panthers are proud to announce the signing of 2007-born goaltender Ethan Taylor for the 2025-26 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
Taylor joins the Panthers after an impressive season with the Kerry Park Islanders of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League in 2024-25. He posted a 9-1-1 record along with a 2.32 goals-against average, a .932 save percentage, and one shutout in 14 games. Before that, the Okotoks, Alberta native developed with the Okanagan Hockey Academy Edmonton U17 Prep team in the CSSHL during the 2023-24 season.
Taylor says he’s excited to make the move to Port Moody and embrace a new challenge. “I’m looking forward to experiencing hockey in the big city and meeting all the great people involved with the Panthers organization.”
Known for his competitiveness and quickness in goal, Taylor has simple but ambitious expectations for himself this season. “My goal is to win every game this year,” he said.
He describes his style as that of a fast, athletic goaltender who never gives up on a play. “I always compete hard,” said Taylor. “No matter the situation, I pride myself on battling to make every save.”
Taylor is expected to make his debut with the Panthers this week as the team has three games in four days starting Thursday in Cloverdale.
